Featured are a lot of two Official American League Gene A. Budig baseballs signed by the 1996 New York Yankees. Managed by Hall of Famer Joe Torre, the 1996 squad consisted of several standout players such as Andy Pettitte, Mariano Rivera, Jorje Posada, and Derek Jeter. This would be the teams’ 94th season, where they finished first in the American League Eastern Division with a record of 92 – 70. The New York Yankees would meet the National League champions the Atlanta Braves in the World Series, where they would emerge victorious winning the series 4-2 and earning their 23rd World Series title and their first since 1978.

     Both balls feature signatures from this legendary team written in various degrees of black ink. Torre signed his name on the sweet spot on both and other signatures include Mariano Rivera, Andy Pettite, Daryl Strawberry, Jimmy Key, Mariano Duncan, Wade Boggs, Paul O’Neill, Joe Girardi and many others. Both balls are in excellent condition with little signs of wear. These baseballs have been pre-certified by Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication.
