Willie Randolph was a standout player for the New York Yankees. A member of the 1977 and 1978 World Series-winning teams, Randolph was a steady presence at second base and at the plate. Randolph finished his career with 2,210 hits. Following his playing career that ended after the 1992 season, Randolph joined the coaching ranks and re-joined the Yankees in 1994. Randolph spent his ninth season as a coach in 2002 and was one of the coaches during the 2002 All-Star Game.

Offered here are two jerseys worn by Randolph during the 2002 All-Star Game in Milwaukee. The first jersey is a Russell Athletic size 46 button-down Yankees’ road gray jersey that features “NEW YORK” sewn on across the chest in navy and white tackle twill. The Russell Athletic tag is sewn on the bottom front left tail with a “100% POLYESTER 46” flag. The back of the jersey has Randolph’s number “30” sewn on in navy and white tackle twill and the right sleeve has the “2002 ALL STAR GAME” patch. Randolph has signed his name in silver marker on the top of the “0” and inscribed vertically on the sides of the number “2002 All-Star Game” and “Game Used”.

The second jersey is the American League navy button-down mesh batting practice/warmup jersey. “AMERICAN” is sewn on in navy, gold and white tackle twill. White piping runs around the collar and down both sides of the buttons and the Majestic tag with a size “46” flag is sewn on the bottom front left tail. The left sleeve has the 2002 All-Star Game logo patch and the right sleeve has the Yankees’ logo patch. The back of this jersey has “RANDOLPH” and “30” sewn on in white tackle twill. Randolph has signed his name in black marker vertically on the left side of the “0” and inscribed vertically on the right side “2002 All-Star Game Workout Jersey”. These game worn jerseys derive from the Willie Randolph Collection and comes with a signed LOA from Willie Randolph.
