Presented here are two Armand LaMontagne lithographs of Ted Williams fishing that were presented to Williams’ Red Sox teammate Bobby Doerr. Doerr, a frequent fishing partner of Williams, played 14 seasons with the Red Sox and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1986. Williams and Doerr met while both were playing with the San Diego Padres of the Pacific Coast League, and both remained friends throughout their lives.

The two lithographs measure 28 x 38 inches, and both are Artist’s Proofs. On the first, LaMontagne has written “To number one, Bobby Doerr” in blue marker. LaMontagne has signed both lithographs. These lithographs come with a LOA from the Doerr family.
