Offered is a pair of signed and inscribed football jerseys by Bart Starr and Len Dawson, the opposing quarterbacks in the first Super Bowl, then referred to as the AFL-NFL World Championship.  Dawson has inscribed “SB IV MVP” in black marker across the top of the number “6” on the back of the Chiefs’ jersey, with his signature in black marker across the “crossbar” in the number, and “HOF 87” in black marker across the bottom of the number.  The red jersey has the letters “DAWSON” sewn in white on a red patch sewn on the back, with the numbers “16” in white with gold outline sewn in below.  Both sleeves have the number “16” sewn in white with gold outline, and a white cuff with a gold stripe in the middle sewn on to the bottom of each sleeve.  The right sleeve has a red, white, blue and silver embroidered patch sewn into the shoulder, with the legend “10 A AFL” over a stylized eagle and football.  The numbers “16” in white with gold outline sewn are sewn in on the front of the jersey. 

Starr has signed “Bart Starr” in black marker across the top of the number “5” on the back of the Packers’ jersey, with the inscription “MVP SB I, II” in the “crossbar” of the number, and “HOF ‘77” on the bottom of the number.  The green jersey has the name “STARR” across the back in white letters sewn onto a green patch, sewn on the top.  In the middle of the jersey are the numbers “15” sewn in white onto the jersey.  Both sleeves feature the number “15” sewn in white at the shoulder with two yellow and one white stripe imprinted on the bottom of the sleeve. The ribbed collar of the shirt has imprinted yellow, green and white stripes with an embroidered NFL shield logo patch sewn in the center front.  The front of the jersey has the white numbers “15” sewn in. 

Starr was the quarterback of the Green Bay Packers, Dawson the QB of the Kansas City Chiefs, in the first AFL-NFL World Championship Game, which eventually became known as Super Bowl.  Starr’s Packers won, 35-10, and Starr was the game’s MVP.  Starr was the only quarterback in NFL history to lead a team to three consecutive league championships (1965, 1966, 1967) and led the Packers to wins in the first two Super Bowls.  Dawson played 19 seasons for three pro teams, the last 14 with the Dallas Texans/Kansas City Chiefs.  He led them to three AFL Championships (1962, 1966, 1969) and a victory in Super Bowl IV over the Minnesota Vikings, where he was the game’s MVP. The Dawson jersey comes with a NFL HOLO (C69115072) and a Tri-Star HOLO (0144523).  The Starr jersey comes with a Tri-Star HOLO (0158001).
