Presented here are two items from the life of New York Yankees infielder and manager Billy Martin. The first item in this lot is Martin’s United States passport. Martin’s full name of “Alfred Manuel Martin” is written inside the front cover, and he listed his address as “Cleveland Indians Ball Club”, dating the passport to 1959. The passport is not valid for travel in Hungary, however stamps from Rome and Curacao are present inside the passport. Martin’s photograph is adhered inside the passport, and he has signed his full name over the photograph in black marker. Also included in this lot is a copy of Martin’s California birth certificate. This birth certificate is “a true copy of the document filed in the City of Berkeley Department of Public Health”, and Martin’s most recent age on the birth certificate is listed as 26. Both of these items are in good condition. The passport comes with a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A69270).
