Hall of Famer and former NBA star Dave Bing spent his college days at Syracuse University on the guidance of former coach Roy Danforth. Bing has long been credited with putting Syracuse on the basketball map, leading Syracuse to the Regional Final in 1966, along with his backcourt partner and future Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim. Bing was presented with two certificates honoring his achievements. The first certificate is from the Athletic Awards Dinner from April 26, 1966 and was titled “Syracuse University AWARD Basketball for Most Valuable Player David Bing”. This certificate is in a 9x10 ¾ inch frame. The second certificate was from the Syracuse University Hardwood Club is colored gold and signed by then coach Roy Danforth. The script in blue reads “Awards This Certificate to David Bing (handwritten) AS A CHARTERED MEMBER DEDICATED TO KEEPING SYRACUSE UNIVERSITY BASKETBALL ON THE HIGHEST INTERCOLLEGIATE LEVEL.” This item comes with a full LOA from Dave Bing.
