Lamar Odom and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar are kindred spirits, both raised in New York City and stars for teams in the Catholic High School Athletic Association, with Abdul-Jabbar playing for Power Memorial Academy and Odom turning out for three seasons at Christ the King Regional High School in Queens. Offered here are two photographs signed by Abdul-Jabbar and presented to his friend Odom. The first photograph shows Abdul-Jabbar as a schoolboy basketball star. He has signed this photograph in black marker as “Kareem”. The Hall of Famer has inscribed “For Lamar / ‘CHSAA Rules!’ / Your Man” and dated the photograph “9/05”. This photograph measures 10 x 14 inches and comes in a 16.5 x 19.5 inch frame.
The second item is a framed poster from Abdul-Jabbar’s film On the Shoulders of Giants. Abdul-Jabbar has signed this item in silver marker, inscribing “For Lamar / Thanks for your help!” above his signature. Additionally, Jamie Foxx has signed this item in black marker. This poster measures 12 x 23.5 inches and comes in a 20 x 26 inch frame. These photographs come with a LOA from the star of the television show Storage Wars, Rene Nezhoda, who purchased Odom’s storage locker and LOAs from PSA/DNA.
