Presented here are two paintings of Hall of Fame tight end and coach Mike Ditka. The first painting, by the noted sports artist Armando Villarreal, is 23 x 30 inches and comes in a 30 x 36 inch frame. Villarreal, a rising star in the art world, created the official paintings for the Kansas City Royals 2015 World Series title and the San Francisco Giants 2014 World Series title. Additionally, Villarreal painted live at Muhammad Ali's 70th birthday party at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and at the 2016 MLB All-Star Game, held at Petco Park in San Diego. This artwork shows Ditka from the shoulders up, scowling at the audience. He has signed this portrait in black marker, inscribing “H.O.F. 99” beneath his signature. The second painting is by Garry Limuti, a well-known, California-based sports artist whose work has appeared in notable venues such as Yankee Stadium and Staples Center. This painting shows Ditka on the bench, conversing with his coach George Halas. Ditka has signed the painting in black marker, inscribing “H.O.F. 88” beneath his signature. This painting measures 22 x 28 inches and comes in a 30 x 36 inch frame. This item is accompanied by a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (D30809).
