Willie Randolph was a standout player for the New York Yankees. A member of the 1977 and 1978 World Series-winning teams, Randolph was a steady presence at second base and at the plate. Randolph finished his career with 2,210 hits. After stints with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Oakland A’s, Randolph signed as a free agent with the Milwaukee Brewers for the 1991 season.
Offered here are two game used Rawlings/Adirondack bats used by Willie Randolph during his Milwaukee Brewers season. The first bat is a Rawlings 423B model bat that displays outstanding game use and is un-cracked. There are numerous ball marks, stitch impressions, blue ink transfers and cleat imprints present on the barrel. Randolph’s number “12” is handwritten in silver marker on the knob and top barrel. The bat’s model number “423B” is stamped on the knob and Randolph signed his name in silver marker on the barrel and inscribed “Game Used”.
The second bat is a Rawlings/Adirondack 256S model bat that displays excellent game use and is un-cracked. The barrel has ball marks, blue ink transfers, white leather scuffs and checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact on the barrel. There is a coating of pine tar on the upper handle/lower barrel area and Randolph’s number “12” is handwritten in silver marker on the knob and top barrel. The bat’s model number “256S” is stamped on the knob and Randolph has signed the barrel in silver marker inscribing “Game Used”. These bats derive from the collection of Willie Randolph and a signed LOA will accompany these bats.
