Willie Randolph was a standout player for the New York Yankees. A member of the 1977 and 1978 World Series-winning teams, Randolph was a steady presence at second base and at the plate. Randolph finished his career with 2,210 hits. After 13 seasons with the Yankees, Randolph signed with the Los Angeles Dodgers to start the 1989 season. Randolph began the 1990 season in Los Angeles, before he was traded to Oakland on May 13th.

Randolph used these two Cooper H176 model bats, most likely during the 1989 and 1990 seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Randolph’s number “12” and “30” have been handwritten in black marker on the knobs. One of the Cooper bats is black and Randolph’s number “12” on the knob. This bat displays outstanding use and is un-cracked. The handle has been taped in a spiral pattern and covered in pine tar to enhance the grip. There are ball marks and checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact on the barrel. The second Cooper bat is a light-colored model that shows light game use and is un-cracked. This bat has Randolph’s number “30” handwritten on the knob. Randolph has signed both of these bats on the barrel (one in silver marker and one in black marker) and inscribed “Game Used”. These bats derive from the collection of Willie Randolph and a signed LOA will accompany these bats.
