Presented here are three number “45” jerseys worn by New York Mets closer John Franco. A four-time All-Star, Franco finished his lengthy MLB career with 424 saves. The first jersey in this collection is a black alternate from the 1999 season. This button-down road jersey features “NEW YORK” sewn across the chest in blue, white, and orange tackle twill above a similarly styled “45”. “FRANCO” and “45” are sewn on the back of the jersey in blue, white, and orange tackle twill. Franco has signed the left chest of this jersey, which shows light wear, in silver marker. This Russell Athletic jersey comes with a LOA from JSA (Z64071) and a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema, who notes that “for unknown reasons, the fabric content flag tag was cut off.”

This Majestic jersey has “NEW YORK” is sewn across the chest in blue, orange, and black tackle twill above a similarly styled “45”. A blue, orange, and black captain’s “C” patch is sewn on the left chest. “FRANCO” and “45” are sewn on the back of the jersey in blue, orange, and black tackle twill.
