Offered here is a collection of cleats, batting gloves, and a bat used by Chicago White Sox slugger Jose Abreu during the 2015 MLB season. Abreu followed up his 2014 American League Rookie of the Year season with an excellent Triple Crown slash of .290/30/101, adding 34 doubles and 88 runs scored for the South Siders. The offered bat is a Victus Custom Model JA44 bat with a handle wrapped in yellow Lizard Skin. This bat is uncracked, and features numerous scuff marks throughout the barrel. The end of the barrel is cupped, and a “79 / Chicago White Sox” decal is affixed to the knob. A thin veneer of pine tar is present on the bat. Abreu has signed the barrel in blue marker, inscribing “#79 / 2015 Game Used” below his signature. This bat comes with a COA from Player Direct (2554) for the game use and a STICKER ONLY from JSA (W898697) for Abreu’s signature.

Also included in this lot is a pair of black and white Mizuno batting gloves worn by Abreu in 2015. The gloves have Mizuno logos applied to the top of each hand and Abreu’s number “79” applied to each wrist strap. Abreu has signed the palm of each glove in blue marker, inscribing “#79 / 2015 Game Used” below each signature. These gloves come with a COA from Player Direct for game use (2846, 2847), and individual COAs from JSA for the signatures (W898865, W898857).

Finally, two pairs of gray and black size 13 Mizuno cleats worn by Abreu in 2015 are included in this lot. Mizuno logos are applied in white to both sides, the tongues, and the heels of each shoe. Nine metal spikes are present on each sole. Abreu has signed the toe of each shoe in silver marker, inscribing “#79 / 2015 Game Used” below each signature. These cleats come with a COA from Player Direct for game use (2848, 2849), and individual COAs from JSA (W898768, W898769).
