Offered is a lot of three Burt Reynolds-signed “BAN ONE” Georgia automobile licenses plates made famous in the “Smokey & The Bandit” film series. The 6 x 12-inch tin license plate was seen in the films on the 1977 Pontiac Trans Am car driven by Reynolds in the original 1977 film, which co-starred Jackie Gleason and Sally Field. Each is painted in red on tan with the year “76” in the upper left corner, “GEORGIA” in the upper center, and “BAN ONE” in the center (referring, of course, to “Bandit One” or Reynolds’ himself). The first item in this lot is signed by Reynolds in black marker in the lower center of the license plate. This item comes with a COA from Beckett Authentication (I97740). The second item in this lot is signed by Reynolds in black marker in the lower center of the license plate. This item comes with a COA from Beckett Authentication (I97743).
