Michael was a longtime player and executive with the Yankees and was credited for drafting the Core Four players of Jeter, Mariano Rivera, Jorge Posada and Andy Pettitte. The first item in this lot is a 2009 World Series Champions hat that has been signed by the “Core Four”. All four have signed their names in silver marker on the navy top brim. The second item is a replica home white Majestic Yankees pinstriped button-down jersey. The Yankees interlocking “NY” is sewn on front with “JETER” and “2” sewn on the back. Jeter signed his name in black marker between and to the right his name and number on the back. The final item is “Yankees Magazine” with Jeter on the cover. Jeter is shown during a game crouching with his bat in his left hand resting on the ground and his right hand up to his mouth. The caption in bright yellow is “GAMER” and below in white reads “WITH SIX HITS TO GO, DEREK JETER’S CLIMB TO YANKEES HISTORY SHOWS US THE BEST OF THE HUMAN SPIRIT”.
