Chicago White Sox second baseman Yoan Moncada is one of the hottest prospects in baseball, a modern second baseman with power, speed, and a slick glove. Offered in this lot are three hats worn by Moncada during his minor league career. The first hat is a Portland Sea Dogs “Stars and Stripes” hat worn during an Eastern League clash against the Hartford Yard Goats at Hadlock Field on July 3rd, 2016. Portland won this game 7-1, with Moncada turning in a 2-4 night with a double, triple, walk, RBI, and run scored. This hat is navy and white, with a Sea Dogs logo applied to the front. The front two panels feature a “Stars and Stripes” pattern. A New Era logo is sewn on the side of this cap, while a MiLB logo is located on the back. “Moncada 11” is handwritten in black marker inside the cap, while Moncada has signed the brim in silver marker. This hat comes with a LOA from the Portland Sea Dogs.

Moncada wore the second hat, a Team World cap from the MLB All-Stars Futures Game, a week later on July 10th, 2016 at Petco Park. Team World won this game 11-3, scoring seven runs in the ninth inning after Moncada’s two-run homer in the eighth gave Team World a lead they would never relinquish. Moncada won the Larry Doby award as the Futures Game MVP. This hat features a San Diego Padres color scheme, with “WORLD” applied to the white-paneled front of the hat in brown, yellow, and orange lettering. An All-Star Futures Game patch is applied to the side of the hat, with a MLB logo applied to the back as well. Handwritten on the underside of the brim in black marker is “11 Y.M.” This cap comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JC 104065).

The final cap in this lot was worn by Moncada while playing for the Surprise Saguaros of the Arizona Fall League on October 20th, 2016. This cap has the Saguaros logo applied to the front, with an Arizona Fall League patch applied to the side. A MLB logo is applied to the back of the hat. This cap comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JB 635020).
