Offered in this lot are game used baseball bats from former Boston Red Sox players. The first bat was used by Jimmy Piersall during the 1953-59 seasons. Piersall’s Hillerich & Bradsby U1 displays heavy game use and has a crack on the barrel with pieces missing from the barrel. There are ball marks, green bat rack streaks and checking or grain swelling from repeated ball contact on the barrel. There is a light coating of pine tar on the handle and this bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B15043) for the game use and a LOA from JSA (Z87946) for the signature. The next bat was used by Nomar Garciaparra during the 2006-08 seasons. Garciaparra’s Louisville Slugger C271 model bat displays outstanding game use and has a broken handle with a piece missing under the tape. There are ball marks, blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs present on the barrel. Garciaparra has singed his name in silver marker on the barrel and inscribed “5”. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B13903) for the game use and his signature has been pre-certified by Beckett Authentication. Please note that Beckett has determined that a signature or inscription has been intentionally removed from this bat.

The third bat in this lot was used by Kevin Youkilis during the 2012 season. Youkilis’ Louisville Slugger Y33 model bat displays outstanding use and is un-cracked. Youk’s number “20” is hand written in black marker on the knob. The barrel has several ball marks, stitch impressions and blue ink transfers. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B13915). The final bat in this lot was used by pitcher Jon Lester during the 2010 season. This Louisville Slugger S318 model bat displays excellent use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, stitch impressions, white leather scuffs and cleat imprints present on the barrel. There is a moderate coating of Mota Stick on the handle and Lester’s number “31” is hand written on the knob in silver marker. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B15999).
