Rick Aguilera began his MLB career with the New York Mets, playing with the team from 1985 until a trade in the middle of the 1989 season sent him to the Minnesota Twins. Included in this lot is a pair of blue Pro-Keds cleats worn by Aguilera in his rookie season of 1985. He has signed each cleat in blue marker, inscribing “Rookie 85” next to each signature. These cleats come with a LOA from MEARS. The next item in this lot is a Rawlings fielder’s glove worn and signed by Aguilera in blue marker. “AGGIE” is written in black marker on the thumb. The next item is a blue Mets cap worn by Aguilera. He has signed the underside of the brim in black marker. Finally, a white Mizuno undershirt with blue sleeves worn and signed by Aguilera is included. Aguilera has signed the chest in blue marker. This shirt exhibits moderate staining. Each signed item in this lot comes with a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (E84865 through E84869). The glove is accompanied by a LOA from PSA/DNA. A LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema goes with the undershirt and cap.
