Presented here is a collection of used and signed bats from St. Louis Cardinals stars of the 1980s and 1990s. The first bat was used by George Hendrick, an All-Star outfielder who spent seven of his 24 seasons with the Cardinals. Hendrick used this bat for batting practice during the 1983-1986 seasons. This Hillerich & Bradsby Louisville Slugger M253 flame burned ash bat is cracked and shows moderate use. The handle is taped with three rows of heavily worn tape. Hendrick signed the barrel of this bat in black Sharpie. This bat comes with a PSA/DNA LOA (1B10936) for game use and a PSA/DNA COA (AC41471) for the signature.

The second bat is a Hillerich & Bradsby Louisville Slugger M110 baseball bat made for Ray Lankford. The bat is cracked, and shows moderate game use. “JA” is written on the knob, indicating that this bat was made for the All-Star centerfielder but used by another, unidentified, player. The handle of the bat has a light coat of pine tar. Lankford signed the barrel of the bat in black Sharpie. This item comes with a PSA/DNA LOA (1B10934) for game use and a PSA/DNA COA (AC41474) for the signature.

The third bat is a Hillerich & Bradsby Louisville Slugger P72 model bat used by Gary Gaetti. A power-hitting third and first baseman, Gaetti played for the Twins, Royals, Angels, Cardinals, Cubs, and Red Sox in his 20-year career. He used this bat from 1996 to 1997, his only two full seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals. This bat is cracked and glued back together. It shows moderate use and Gaetti signed the barrel of the bat in black Sharpie, adding the inscriptions “Go Cards!” and “’96 NL Central Champs!” This item comes with a PSA/DNA LOA (1B10937) for game use and a PSA/DNA COA (AC41473) for the signature.

The final bat was used and signed by 1991 National League MVP Terry Pendleton. Pendleton began his career for the Cards, playing with them from 1984 to 1990. This Hillerich & Bradsby Louisville Slugger T142 bat was used between 1986 and 1989, a period when Pendleton won two Gold Gloves for his play at third base. The bat is cracked, with a large chunk taken out of the Louisville Slugger logo. It shows light use and features Pendleton’s number “9” written in black Sharpie on the knob. Pendleton signed the barrel in black Sharpie, adding the inscriptions “Best Wishes” and “85 NL Champs.” This item comes with a PSA/DNA LOA (1B10935) for game use and a PSA/DNA COA (AC41472) for the signature.
