Presented is a lot of five 2015 Major League Baseball post-season, used and signed items from Kansas City Royals utility man Christian Colon on the road to their 2015 World Series Championship. Colón, a shortstop and second baseman, served as a utility player for the Kansas City Royals during the 2015 season, his second season in the majors. He entered Game 5 of the 2015 World Series (his first appearance in the playoffs) in the top of the 12th as a pinch hitter. After not making a plate appearance for four weeks, he hit a single to score Jarrod Dyson for the winning run to clinch the World Series, marking the first time in history that a player in his first at bat in a World Series delivered the Series-winning run.

The first item in this lot is a “Postseason 2015 KC Baseball Club” cap, signed by Colon in silver marker on the right side of the visor, with the inscription “24” below his signature and the inscription “2015 Playoffs Clinch! Celebration Used!” on the left side of the visor. The white and black New Era cap has the letters “KC” in white on a blue diamond with silver and black borders, framed by red and blue pennants and the legend “2015” in a banner in red with silver border. The Royals won their first AL Central title on September 24, 2015, the first time the Royals won their division since 1985. This cap comes with a LOA from Anderson Authentics (1527).  

The second item in this lot is a “2015 Postseason Division Champions KC” cap, signed by Colon in black marker on the right side of the visor, with the inscription “24” below his signature and the inscription “2015 AL Central Champs! Celebration Used!” on the left side of the visor in black marker. The gray mesh and black cap has red, navy-blue, black and white lettering on the front, with the “KC” logo in the lower center in light blue. The back of the hat has a silver, white, red and navy-blue logo patch with the legend “2015 Postseason” over the MLB logo. The Royals opened the playoffs by defeating the Houston Astros in five games in the Division Series. This cap comes with a LOA from Anderson Authentics (1528).

The third item in this lot is a gray mesh cap with “World Series KC League Champions 2015” embroidered in white, black, royal blue and red on the front. Colon has signed his name in black marker on the right side of the visor, with the inscription “24” below his signature, and the inscription “2015 AL Champs! Celebration Used!” on the left side of the visor, also in black marker. The back of the hat has a black, white and red logo patch with the legend, “2015 LCS Champs” and the MLB logo. The Royals defeated the Toronto Blue Jays in six games in the American League Championship Series, to earn their second consecutive World Series appearance in 2015, after winning the American League in 2014. This cap comes with a LOA from Anderson Authentics (1509).

The fourth item in this lot is a gray and black cap with “2015 World Series Champs KC” embroidered on the front in black, red, royal blue, white and gold.  Colon has signed his name in black marker on the right side of the visor, with the inscription “24” below his signature, and the inscription “2015 WS Champs! Celebration Used!” on the left side of the visor, also in black marker. The back of the cap has a black, gray and gold MLB logo patch. The underside of the visor has a red, blue and gold silk-screened MLB logo. The Royals defeated the New York Mets in five games in the 2015 World Series, the second World Series championship in franchise history. This cap comes with a LOA from Anderson Authentics (1508).

The fifth item in this lot is a gray Majestic t-shirt, with the World Series trophy silk-screened in silver, gray and white, and the legend “2015 World Series Champs KC” in royal blue and white letters. Colon has signed his name in black marker on the right shoulder, and inscribed “24” below his signature as well as “2015 WS Celebration Used”, also in black marker. There are small liquid stains on the left shoulder. The 2015 Royals are the first team since the 1989 Oakland Athletics to win the World Series after having lost the series in the previous season. This cap comes with a LOA from Anderson Authentics (1513).
