Presented is a unique lot of five original baseball photographs, four signed by Nolan Ryan, Lou Piniella and George Hendrick. The photos were taken by an amateur photographer in attendance at several Major League Baseball games in the 1970s. The first item in this lot is a 3 x 4-inch color, undated photograph of New York Mets and Dodgers players lined up along the third base side of Shea Stadium, probably from an Old Timers’ Day ceremony. The Kodak print has rounded corners and is slightly faded.

The second item in this lot is an undated 3½ x 5¼-inch color photo of California Angels pitcher Nolan Ryan in his windup. The Hall of Fame righthander has signed his name in blue marker in the lower right corner of the photo. Ryan is wearing his white Angels home uniform. The photo is faded and has rounded corners. Over a record 27-year career, Ryan pitched for the New York Mets, California Angels, Houston Astros, and Texas Rangers. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1999. This item comes with a COA from Beckett Authentication (Q53432).

The third item in this lot is an undated 3½ x 5-inch color photo of California Angels pitcher Nolan Ryan, pitching off the mound in a game wearing his road gray uniform. Ryan has signed his name in blue marker in the lower left corner of the photo, which has a white border. Ryan, who pitched for the Angels from 1972 to 1979, had a lifetime record of 324–292 (.526) and was an eight-time MLB All-Star. His 5,714 career strikeouts are an MLB record by a significant margin. This item comes with a COA from Beckett Authentication (Q53433).

The fourth item in this lot is a photo dated “Sep 74” in the margin. The3 ½ x5-inch color photo portrays New York Yankees outfielder Lou Piniella, standing in the on-deck circle in his road gray Yankees uniform, holding a bat and glove in his arms with an unknown stadium in the background. Piniella has signed his name in blue marker in the lower left corner of the photo, which has some photo chemical staining in the lower right corner. During his 16-season career, Piniella was named AL Rookie of the Year in 1969 and captured two World Series championships with the Yankees (1977, 1978). This item comes with a COA from Beckett Authentication (Q53434).

The fifth item in this lot is a 3 ½ x 5-inch color photo of Cleveland Indians outfielder George Hendrick, wearing a red “Indians” jersey in the midst of throwing a ball. Hendricks has signed his name in blue marker across the top of the faded photo, which has rounded corners. An MLB All-Star four times, including twice with Cleveland in 1974 and 1975, Hendrick was one of the first players to hit 100 home runs in each league—150 for the National League and 117 for the American League. This item comes with a COA from Beckett Authentication (Q53435).
