Offered is a lot of five New York Yankees souvenir pennants from the 1930s to the 1950s. The first pennant in this lot is an 8 x 25-inch blue felt pennant with a white border and two white felt ribbon ties. On the pennant is the legend “New York Yankees World Champions” in a white pennant with red border, and the legend “Winner” in white letters. 

                The second pennant in this lot is an 11 x 27 ½-inch blue felt pennant with a white border. The pennant reads “Bronx Bombers” in white with an image of a swinging batter, and the legend “American League Champions 1950 Yankees” in white across the pennant. The 1950 New York Yankees finished with a record of 98–56, winning their 17th pennant, finishing 3 games ahead of the Detroit Tigers. In the World Series, they defeated the Philadelphia Phillies in 4 games.

                The third pennant in this lot is a 9 x 26-inch green felt pennant with a white border and two red felt ribbon ties. At the left of the pennant is a white, green, tan and blue printed image of a baseball game in progress labeled “Yankee Stadium”. Below the image is the legend “American League Champs” in white, and to the right of the image is the legend “N.Y. Yankees” printed in white.

                The fourth pennant in this lot is a 11 x 27-inch brown felt pennant with a white border and two brown felt ties. At the left is printed in white a scroll, with the following names reversed out in brown:  Joe DiMaggio, Allie Reynolds, Vic Raschi, Bill Johnson, Bobby Brown, Phil Rizzuto, Jerry Coleman, Gene Woodling, Yogi Berra, Cliff Mapes, John Lindell, Joe Page, Tom Henrich, Dick Kryhoski, Ed Lopat, Tommy Byrne, George Stirnweiss, Hank Bauer, Fred Sanford, Jack Phillips and Frank Shea.  There is a printed reproduction of the Yankees logo in red and white, with the words “New York 1949 World Champions” printed in white. The 1949 New York Yankees finished with a record of 97–57, winning their 16th pennant, finishing one game ahead of the Boston Red Sox. In the World Series, they defeated the Brooklyn Dodgers in five games.

                The fifth pennant in this lot is an 11 x 28-inch blue felt pennant with yellow border and two blue felt ribbon ties. Printed in white, tan and blue is an image of Joe DiMaggio swinging a bat and hitting a white baseball, set within a white printed baseball diamond. Above the image is the legend “N.Y. Yankees” printed in white in a ribbon design, and below the image is the legend “Yankee Clipper” printed in white letters. To the right of the image is the legend, “Joe DiMaggio” printed in large white block letters. DiMaggio was a three-time American League MVP and an All-Star in each of his 13 seasons. During his tenure with the Yankees, the club won 10 American League pennants and nine World Series championships. His career nine World Series rings is second only to fellow Yankee Yogi Berra, who won 10.
