Offered in this lot are six game used baseball dugout jackets. Included in this lot is a red and blue St. Louis Cardinals wool jacket worn by Ted Simmons in the early 1970s. This jacket was manufactured by KM PRO CAP of Boston, MA with a snap front and a batting cardinal bird on the navy left side on the upper chest. This size 46 jacket has a faded number “23” tag, the KM PRO tag and a size 46 tag on the interior collar. This jacket displays moderate use. The next jacket is a wool navy Cardinals jacket from the 1950s. This jacket was manufactured by Butwin and features a cardinal bird perched on a bat on the upper left chest. This all-navy jacket displays moderate to heavy use with some damage and fading to the collar twine and both sleeve cuffs.

The next jacket is a red Cincinnati Reds snap-front jacket manufactured by MacGregor and worn by Leo Cardenas between 1962-67. This size 42 jacket is made of nylon and has the Reds old-time “Mr. Red” on the upper left chest. The MacGregor and number “16” tags are sewn on the inside front left inside tail. Cardenas was the only player to wear number “16” between 1962-67, the timeframe of this jacket’s MacGregor tag. This jacket displays moderate use. The next jacket was worn by Dick Hall in 1960 when he played for the Kansas City Athletics. Hall’s Athletics’ jacket is a Wilson size 48 nylon snap-front jacket that features an old-English “A” sewn on the upper left chest in white tackle twill. Hall’s number “24” is sewn on the end of the left sleeve in white tackle twill. This jacket is attributed to Hall based on his having the number 24 and his playing size of 6’ 6” and weight of 200 lbs. This jacket displays moderate use.

The fifth jacket in this lot is a blue short-sleeve Montreal Expos jacket with red accents that was worn by F.P. Santangelo during the 1995-1998 era. This nylon jacket is a pullover with two buttons and was manufactured by Starter. The size of the jacket is a size L with the 1990’s style Expos’ logo sewn on the upper left chest. The back of the jacket has the MLB logo patch sewn on the upper back. The number “7” is handwritten in black marker on the size L flag below Starter tag. This jacket displays moderate use and the lower portion was trimmed or hacked off. The jacket was attributed to Santangelo based on the size and the number “7”. Lou Frazier wore number “7” between the 1993-95 seasons, but was four inches taller and 10 pounds heavier than Santangelo. The final jacket is a red nylon Chicago White Sox warm-up jacket that was worn by Wilbur Wood during the 1971 – 1973 seasons. This size 42 button-down jacket is made of nylon and was manufactured by Wilson and it features the White Sox diagonal “SOX” logo sewn on in white tackle twill on the upper right chest. The collar, sleeve ends and waist are lined with a red and white striped ribbed material that has various holes and fraying. The front of the jacket also has two pockets. The back of the jacket is blank and the Wilson size 42 tag is sewn on the inside back collar with Wood’s number “28” hand written in faded black marker. This jacket displays moderate to heavy use with the white tackle twill and white striping appearing as a toned cream-color. There are various marks and abrasions throughout the jacket and game used jersey expert Dave Miedema notes that the “jacket is attributed to 1971-73 based on red color and style of Wilson tag. While this could have been worn in any of the three years (and possibly multiple years), the best chance is 1971, as Wood’s jersey size that year was also 42.” These jackets come with individual LOAs from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
