Grinding center Orest Kindrachuk was a key member of the famed “Broad Street Bullies” Philadelphia Flyers teams of the early 1970s, anchoring a fearsome third-line with his pugnacious teammates Dave “The Hammer” Schultz and Don “Big Bird” Saleski. Kindrachuk made a two-game cameo appearance during the 1972-73 season but played a crucial role for the Flyers during their back-to-back Stanley Cup winning years in 1974 and 1975, scoring 72 points between the two seasons. Kindrachuk played six seasons for the Flyers before a trade sent him to the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he served as the team’s captain for three campaigns. Kindrachuk retired after spending the 1981-82 season with the Washington Capitals.

Presented here is a collection of seven items from the 2012 Winter Classic originating from the personal collection of Orest Kindrachuk. Included in this collection is a ticket to the game stapled to a box score from the alumni game, an unscored scorecard from the Flyers January 19th, 2012 game against the New York Islanders, a booklet from the Winter Classic, a metal presentation ticket from the game, and a 10 x 8 ½ inch photograph of the alumni team. Also included in this lot is a framed 36 x 34 inch photograph of Citizens Bank Park, the home of the 2012 Winter Classic, that has been signed by 38 Flyers legends. Signatures include the Hall of Famers Bobby Clarke, Bill Barber, Gordie Howe, Mark Howe, and Bernie Parent. The remaining signatures include Brian Propp, Orest Kindrachuk, Dave Schultz, Don Saleski, and several more. The signatures have been written in black marker on the white border of this photograph. This item comes with a LOA from SGC (AA03124) and a LOA from Orest Kindrachuk.
