Presented here is a 3 x 5-inch black and white photograph on a 3 ¼ x 5 ½-inch paper backing of Lou Gehrig in his road New York Yankees uniform. Based on the style of the uniform, this photograph dates to 1927 to 1930 when the Yankees had “YANKEES” on their road uniforms and was most likely taken during a barnstorming tour. Gehrig is standing on the left with a man in a suit to his right and both are next to a set of bleachers and the Iron Man has his hands on his waist looking straight onto the camera. Gehrig has signed this photograph in black ink across the chest of his image. This photo is in excellent condition, displaying only minor edge wear. This comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (AI01067) for Gehrig’s signature.
