Magic Johnson played 13 seasons in the NBA, all for the Los Angeles Lakers, as a mold-breaking 6’9” point guard with an eye for flashy assists. Johnson led the Lakers to five NBA titles, winning Finals MVP in three of them, as he built a Hall of Fame career as the head of the “Showtime” offense. The former Michigan State Spartan averaged 19.5 points, 11.2 assists, and 7.5 rebounds per game and won three NBA MVP awards. Johnson was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002. Offered in this lot is a pair of Converse Magic sneakers that have been signed by Magic Johnson. These sneakers are white, with purple accents and raised yellow “Magic” logos applied to both sides of the heels. A “Magic Converse” tag is sewn on both tongues. Please note that the heels are deteriorating slightly as is common with basketball shoes of this era. Johnson has signed the outside of the left shoe in black marker. This shoe comes with a LOA from Beckett Authentication Services (A25155) for Johnson’s signature.
