The first and to-date unanimous Hall of Famer Mariano Rivera has signed this photograph taken during his final career game on September 26th, 2013. Rivera is pictured tipping his cap to the Yankee Stadium crowd. Rivera has signed this photograph in silver marker, inscribing a “#42” below his signature. A large portion of this photograph houses an inscription from Rivera that reads “I knew before the game started it was going to be a special night. My final game in pinstripes. When I saw derek and Andy walking to the mound to take me out I was overcome with so many emotions. It’s been an incredible career, one filled with many memories with my teammates and the great Yankees fans. As I walked off the field I wanted to soak in as much as I could for as long as I could. This was it for me as a baseball player. I thought about all my achivements[sic] and the great moments I have shared with so many special people. I started my career with the Yankees on May 23, 1995, tonight over 18 years later I was leaving baseball as a 5 time World Champion, MLB all time saves leader. I was leaving the game on my terms not because of injury or diminished skills. I was leaving the game I love the way I wanted, as a lifetime Yankee”. This item is a limited edition one of 10. It comes in a 30 x 26-inch frame and is accompanied by a COA from Steiner Sports.
