The 2009 Rose Bowl had Penn State facing off against USC for only the third time in the 95 year history of the New Year’s Day game. USC won the rubber match by a score of 38-24. This championship ring was presented to sophomore offensive tackle Martin Coleman. Coleman's size-14, non-gold, non-Diamond player ring weighs in at 43.16 grams and has "SC" in raised dimensional letters mounted on a dark stone. "Rose Bowl" and "Champions" are engraved around the top of the ring. The shank features "COLEMAN" engraved above "7 CONSECUTIVE" and a Pac 10 logo. Coleman's number 72 is engraved below. The opposite shank has "23 ROSE BOWL CHAMPIONSHIPS" engraved above a rose with the game's final score of "SC 38" and "PS 24" on either side. "Balfour Cel" is engraved on the inside. The ring comes with comes with copies of Citibank check used to purchase the ring(s) and copy statement of release signed by Coleman.
