Presented is a notable piece of Michael Jackson’s personal property, with his signature - a framed display featuring a 24k gold-plated limited edition 45 RMP recording of his 1983 hit record “Billie Jean.” Jackson has signed his name in black marker on an 8 x 10-inch color portrait photograph of Jackson circa 1983 in a yellow vest and bow tie with a white shirt, sleeves rolled up to his elbows, and white pants. To the left of the photograph is the gold-plated 45 RPM record on the Epic label. At the lower left corner of the display is a 2 x 4-inch gold metal plaque with the caption “Michael Jackson™ King of Pop Billie Jean 24KT Gold Plated Record Limited Edition 1019/2500 © Triumph International, Inc.” engraved in black. The record, plaque and photo are mounted in a white paper matte with black border, displayed in a 12 x 16-inch black metal frame.
"Billie Jean" was one of the best-selling singles of 1983, helping “Thriller” become the best-selling album of all time, and became Jackson's best-selling solo single. In the United States, it remained at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for seven weeks. It also reached number one in the United Kingdom and several other European countries and reached the top ten in many other countries. It was awarded honors including two Grammy Awards and an American Music Award. This item comes with a LOA from Jackson’s manager and a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication.
