Released in 1990, the Air Jordan V sneaker was worn by the legendary Michael Jordan at the height of his dizzying powers. Jordan won his fourth consecutive scoring title in 1989-90, averaging an incredible 33.6 points and 6.3 assists per game. The design of the Jordan V found inspiration in Jordan’s aggressive playing style, with designer Tinker Hatfield adding a shark-tooth motif to the midsole in a nod to World War II fighter jets.

Offered in this lot is a pair of Air Jordan V sneakers signed by Jordan. The white, black, and red shoes feature Jordan’s number “23” embroidered on the outer heel in red with black drop shadow. A red Jumpman logo is embroidered on the tongue, while a black Nike Air logo is embroidered on the heel. An “Air Jordan” tag is sewn on the underside of the tongue on these size 10 shoes. The shoes come in the original Air Jordan box. Jordan has signed the outer heel of both shoes in black marker.
