Completed on March 28, 1929 at a cost of $9.5 million, Chicago Stadium was the largest indoor arena in the world at the time. Affectionately known as the "Madhouse on Madison" it was a raucous arena with plenty of history. Chicago Stadium hosted five separate National Party conventions, heard hundreds of concerts including those by Elvis Presley the year he died, and countless rodeos, boxing matches and other events. However, it is best known for being the home of the Chicago Blackhawks from 1929-1994, for which this Stadium was built. It also was the home of the Chicago Bulls from their inception in 1967 through 1994.Presented here is a 6 x 6-inch section of game used hardwood from the old Chicago Stadium court signed by Michael Jordan. The home of the Bulls from 1967 to 1994, the Bulls won three of their six titles on this court. Jordan has signed his name across this venerated hardwood in bold black marker adding the inscription “1984-1993”. This item comes with a STICKER ONLY from Upper Deck (BAE13775).
