After saying he was “99.9% certain” he would never play another NBA game, Hall of Famer Michael Jordan returned to the hardcourt in 2001, suiting up for the Washington Wizards. The six-time NBA champion and six-time Finals MVP spent two seasons playing for the Wizards and earned his 14th and final All-Star selection in 2003. Jordan would retire for the third time after the 2002-03 season, gaining entry into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009.
