In 1994, during his first retirement from the NBA, Michael Jordan pursued his dream of becoming a professional baseball player. He joined the AA team of the Chicago White Sox, the Birmingham Barons, for the 1994 season. In 127 games he hit .202 with 51 RBI and 30 stolen bases, an impressive haul for a man who had not played baseball since Little League. However, after only one season the experiment was over, and MJ returned to the Chicago Bulls and his usual dominance. Although it was only for a short time, Jordan’s time in the minors remains one of the most fascinating athlete sabbaticals. This Wilson baseball was signed by Jordan on the sweet spot in slightly aged black pen. This ball comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (AB12574).
