This massive offering comes directly from the personal collection of Michelle Akers and offers up some of her most personal memento’s spanning throughout her entire career, post career and personal life.  The collection is highlighted by her University of Central Florida Athletic Hall of Fame Medal awarded in 1998.  Another key in this large grouping of items is Michelle’s Washington State “Michelle Akers Day” July 22, 1999 proclamation for her achievements and contributions in Women’s soccer.  This was awarded less than two weeks following the USA’s World Cup Victory and Michelle has signed and inscribed the inside cover.  

Additionally, included is one of the more unusual items ever auctioned at Goldin Auctions, Michelle’s surgically removed pin from her leg with the screws additionally.  After a life of Soccer and wear and tear, Michelle was known to have had multiple surgeries and this pin is a memento of her career.  The collection also includes a signed 2000 Olympics Ticket, Two signed 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup VIP tickets along with her signed credential from the cup as FIFA’s guest.  

The mixed assortment of memorabilia also includes a group of five USA women’s Barbie Doll figurines with one signed by Michelle.  There is also a pair of book covers that were used during the re-production period featuring Michelle on the covers that are both signed.  With over 40 signed items in total, an assortment of over fifty (50) pins ranging from the World Cup, Olympic Games, and other international events the collection offers a significant amount of break up and resale value.  In addition, the collection also includes signed newspaper clippings personally kept by Michelle dating back to her collage days through her World Cup Victories.  A signed 1995 Full Size World Cup poster is also included as well as over 20 flags and pennants that were usually given at the events and traded within teams dating back to the 1991 World Cup.  The banner collection includes two from Germany that have each been signed by 20 German players. 

The collection covers the entire career of Michelle and are some her most personal possessions.  The items will come with a Letter of Authentication from Michele Akers and a portion of the proceeds are being donated by Michelle to the Michelle Akers Horse Rescue & Outreach.
