Offered is a Mickey Mantle signature featured on a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted baseball by artist Charles Fazzino, commemorating the New York Yankees centerfielder’s career. Mantle played his entire Major League Baseball career (1951-1968) with the New York Yankees as a center fielder and first baseman. Mantle was one of the best players and sluggers and is regarded by many as the greatest switch hitter in baseball history.

Mantle has signed his name in silver marker on the sweet spot. Above his signature is a white and silver button with the Yankees logo. To the left of his signature is a painted image of Mantle in the field, with the legend “The Commerce Comet” 3x AL MVP 1962 Gold Glove” in black on a gray background. To the right of his signature is the legend “A Yankee for Life The Mick 7 1951-1968 1956 Triple Crown Hall of Fame 1974” in blue and white paint with black letters and pinstripes.   

The artist, Fazzino, has signed his name in black paint alongside an illustration of Mantle at bat, with the legend painted around the image, “The Mick 20x All Star BA - .298 HR 536 Hits 2,415 RBI 1,509”. To the right of the artist’s signature is an image of the Yankee Stadium entrance and the legend “Yankee Stadium 7 World Series Championships”. There are several rhinestones dotted on the baseball, as well as silver glitter. This baseball comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (AB13539) and a LOA from the artist, Charles Fazzino.
