Offered is a Mickey Mantle signature and inscription on a Louisville Slugger Genuine M110 Mickey Mantle baseball bat. The three-time American League Most Valuable Player has signed his name in black marker on the barrel of the bat, and inscribed “No. 7” below his signature. The greatest switch-hitter in the history of Major League Baseball, Mantle won the Triple Crown in 1956, when he led the Major Leagues in batting average (.353), home runs (52), and RBI’s (130). He was the American League MVP three times (1956, 1957, 1962). Mantle appeared in 12 World Series including seven championships, and he holds World Series records for the most home runs (18), RBIs (40), extra-base hits (26), runs (42), walks (43), and total bases (123). Mantle was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1974. The bat is inscribed “L.E. 1 of 18 G.J.C.” in black pen on the bottom of the handle.
