Presented is a Mickey Mantle signature on a one-of-a-kind “pop art” baseball by noted artist carterX. Mantle has signed his name in blue pen on the sweet spot of the multi-media baseball, which features images and text commemorating the late New York Yankees centerfielder’s Hall of Fame career.  Above the sweet spot is painted image of Mantle swinging a bat viewed from the back, with the legend “Commerce Comet” in red above his head, “536 HRs” at his left, and “The Mick” in yellow on blue below his image. The opposite “sweet spot” has the inscription “Hall of Fame ’74 7 Time World Series Champ 20 Time All Star Player 4 Time AL Home Run Leader MLB All Century Team” painted in white and yellow on blue. To the left of the inscription is a multi-colored painting of the field at Yankee Stadium. To the right of Mantle’s signature is the painted inscription “1951-1968 No 7 Retired” above and below an image of his number “7” in a blue and white circle. To the left of his signature is the inscription “Triple Crown 1956 353 AVG 130 RBI 52 Home Runs” painted in brown, yellow, black and blue. The ball is emblazoned with silver sequins along the seams.
