Presented is Mickey Mantle’s signature on the cover of the first paperback edition of his 1985 memoir, “The Mick – An American Hero: The Legend and the Glory.” The Baseball Hall of Fame centerfielder has signed his name in the upper right corner of the front cover in blue marker. The 1986 Jove paperback has a white cover, with Mantle’s number “7” in navy-blue with navy-blue pinstripes and the book’s title in red. Co-written with sports writer Herb Gluck, this book provides behind-the-scenes anecdotes and memories from Mantle on his 18-year MLB career with the New York Yankees.
