Although Mike Schmidt attended Fairview High School in Dayton, Ohio in the 1960s, this yellow wool letterman’s sweater looks right out of television’s Happy Days. Schmidt’s first name “Mike” is sewn onto the right shoulder in a single blue cursive stitch and his graduation year “67” is applied in a pair of thick gold and blue patches on the left shoulder. A big gold and blue Fairview “F” is sewn onto the left breast with a crossed bats and ball baseball logo patch embroidered into the letter. Button-down cardigan style sweater has a pair of front pockets with horizontal openings and a folded up 1985 United States of America one dollar bill is in the left pocket. “Jim Flynn Sporting Goods Dayton Ohio,” label is on the inside collar and a size “42” flag tag is attached on the inner right seam. Sweater is in remarkably good condition with a small water stain on the top of the left shoulder comes with a notarized letter of authenticity from Mike Schmidt.
