Mike Tyson came out fast and sent Evander Holyfield reeling with his first solid punch during the November 9th, 1996 fight. Then surprised Holyfield with a loaded right cross. Holyfield tied Tyson up and revealed his superior strength as he shoved Tyson backwards. Tyson didn’t stun Holyfield for the remainder of the fight. Holyfield’s defense proved effective for the rest of the first round and Holyfield annihilated Tyson with several counterpunches. At the end of the round Tyson threw an illegal punch after the bell but a composed Holyfield immediately retaliated.

     This boxing figurine set captures Holyfield’s victory over Tyson for all time. The figurines in this display case accurately portray these two awesome fighters display their skills. Underneath the two figurines is the wooden base they stand on and a small gold-colored plaque that states, “MIKE TYSON V EVANDER HOLYFIELD NOVEMBER 9, 1996 LAS VEGAS WINNER HOLYFIELD NO. 023 of 250”. This is a perfect collector’s piece for any true fan of boxing.
