Presented here is a red Everlast boxing glove signed by Mike Tyson and Buster Douglas. Douglas and Tyson fought once for the heavyweight championship, in 1990. The fight was expected to be a bloodbath in favor of Tyson, the undefeated, reigning champion. Only one casino, The Mirage, gave Douglas betting odds, placing him as a 42-1 underdog. The fight shocked the world, as Douglas used a large advantage in reach to keep Tyson at bay while simultaneously tagging the right side of his face with countless jabs and hooks. The fight went 10 rounds, with Douglas finally knocking down the champ for the first time in his career. Although Douglas could not defend his title in a matchup with Evander Holyfield, his victory over Tyson is one of the greatest upsets in sporting history.

     Each man signed the top of this Everlast boxing glove in black marker. Tyson signed as “Iron Mike Tyson”, while Douglas included his first name, James, in his signature. This glove comes with a PSA/DNA STICKER ONLY (4A00071) that authenticates Tyson’s signature only, and a COA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (C03582) that authenticates both signatures.
