Featured is a copy of the Nuclear Disarmament document signed by former Soviet Union General Secretary Mikhail Gorbachev. A general of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union, Gorbachev would act as the eighth and final leader of the Soviet Union until its dissolution in 1991. The copy of this document is from the agreement that President Ronald Reagan and Gorbachev reached, known as the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty. The treaty would allow for both countries to not only limit their nuclear weapons arsenal, but to eliminate them completely within. Both countries agreed to the terms in Geneva on November 24, 1987. Gorbachev has signed the copy of this document on the lower right corner in bold black ink. The copy of this document comes with a full LOA from JSA (B37519).
