Presented is a signature from Mother Theresa on a hardcover copy of Navin Chawla’s 1992 authorized biography. Mother Teresa, now Saint Teresa of Calcutta, was an Albanian Indian Roman Catholic nun and missionary. She founded the Missionaries of Charity, a Roman Catholic congregation that managed homes for the dying, soup kitchens, dispensaries, mobile clinics, family counseling, orphanages and schools. The members would take vows of chastity, poverty and obedience, professing “to give wholehearted free service to the poorest of the poor”. She won the 1979 Nobel Peace Prize and was canonized and recognized as a Saint in September of 2016.
The Roman Catholic Saint has inscribed “God Bless You M Teresa MoC” in blue pen in the upper right corner of the book’s title page. The 240-page hardcover, reprinted by Gulmohur Press in New Delhi, India, is in good condition, with a slight tear in the upper left corner of the front dust jacket, and some wear on the gold embossed title. This item comes with a COA from JSA.
