In this important and illuminating handwritten note – covering all or part of three pages – Muhammad Ali sets forth some of his opinions on problematic race relations. In his thoughtfully stated text, the boxing champion notes that "forced integration" creates difficulties between Black and White, and declares with what seems to be a touch of sadness that the two are "opposites." The sheets are matted and framed – along with a small color photo signed by Ali in black ink – within an attractive display measuring 19" x 35". Ali, of course, is arguably the most esteemed and recognizable athlete in the world: he has, without question, earned the respect of all of mankind's races.
