Presented here is an autographed photograph of the legendary fight between Muhammad Ali and George Foreman. Known as “The Rumble in the Jungle”, Ali came into the fight as an underdog with George Foreman being the heavy favorite as he had amassed an impressive 40 – 0 record, two of his previous wins coming by way of stoppage over Ken Norton and Joe Frazier (opponents who had previously given Ali trouble). The fight took place on October 30, 1974 at the 20th of May Stadium in Kinshasa, Zaire (Now The Democratic Republic of the Kongo). Despite the odds, Ali would emerge victorious from the bout, finishing Foreman for the first time in his career by TKO in the 8th round.
Depicted in this image is George Foreman trying to regain his wits, moments after being knocked down by Ali. Ali can be seen in the back, his eyes focused on Foreman, while the referee hovers over the dazed Foreman. This photograph stands 16 x 20 inches and is unframed. Ali has signed this picture across the top in black ink. This item comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (S04444).
