Offered here is a boxing glove signed and inscribed by Muhammad Ali. This red Everlast glove was signed and inscribed on January 3, 1996. After his boxing career ended, the event Ali was most well-known for was lighting the Olympic torch before the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. At this point already suffering from the effects of Parkinson’s Disease that would later claim his life, Ali kicked off the Olympics to thunderous applause, and quite a few tears.
This glove, a red size 14 Everlast model, features a large gold and black Everlast logo on the wrist. Ali signed the glove in black pen on the center of the top of the glove. Underneath his name he inscribed the date “1-3-96.” This item comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (AB13377).
