Offered here is a photograph of Muhammad Ali and Ken Norton running in the Yankee Stadium outfield. This photograph is signed by Ali. Ali and Norton fought three times, with the third bout occurring at Yankee Stadium. This fight was a classic heavyweight slugfest with the WBA, WBC, The Ring, and lineal heavyweight championships on the line. The fight, which took place on September 28, 1976, went all 15 rounds, culminating in a unanimous decision win for Ali. Many boxing historians claim that Norton deserved to win the fight, as he landed more punches and at a much greater rate. Regardless of the outcome, the fight is universally regarded as one of the greatest boxing matches of the 1970s.
This 16 x 20 inch black and white photograph features Ken Norton chasing Muhammad Ali in the Yankee Stadium outfield. Both men are wearing boxing trunks and gloves, with Norton trailing Ali. Norton is playfully attempting to punch Ali, who is clearly having a blast playing to the camera. Ali signed this photo in blue Sharpie near the bottom left corner. There are minor creases in the middle of the photo and this item comes with a PSA/DNA STICKER ONLY (3A48034).
