Ali has signed his name in bright blue marker to the right of his color head & shoulder portrait on the cover, under the headline “Ali on the eve of the Ellis fight – ‘The Future is a Mist’.” The article inside is titled “He has Heavy Things on his Mind,” and was a preview of his then-upcoming 1971 fight with Jimmy Ellis. The magazine is in great condition, with the original subscription label in the lower left corner. Ali and heavyweight contender Jimmy Ellis fought at the Houston Astrodome on Monday night, July 26, 1971. Ali won the bout through a TKO when the referee stopped the fight in the 12th round.
