Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was presented with this signed training jacket and boxing glove used in preparation for one of Muhammad Ali’s fights with Joe Frazier by the “Louisville Lip” himself. Abdul-Jabbar and Ali met for the first time at a UCLA party during Abdul-Jabbar’s freshman season, soon becoming fast friends by bonding over their shared faith and athletic talents. Abdul-Jabbar stated that “Muhammad Ali gave [him] this glove and training jacket. He has always been an inspiration”.

This training jacket is red, with “Muhammad Ali” embroidered in white over the left chest. Ali has signed the right chest of this satin jacket in black marker. The glove is displayed in front of the jacket. It is a red Everlast glove singed by Ali in black marker on the top of the hand. Ali inscribed “To Kareem” followed by a personal inscription. Additionally, an “Ali Bonus Card #1” is displayed in this 42 x 29-inch framed display. This display is accompanied by a LOA from PSA/DNA. This item derives directly from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and a personally hand-signed LOA from Kareem will accompany this item.
