Featured is the infamous photograph of the late great Muhammad Ali standing over a hurt Sonny Liston. This photograph captures the most memorable moment of the clash between the two boxers. The fight took place on May 25, 1965 and would see Ali emerge victorious as he had knocked Liston down almost one minute and a half into the first round. The fight was so quick that many thought that the fight could have been staged, which led to media controversy over the legitimacy of this bout. Nevertheless, this image would become one of the most recognizable images in all sports history. This 16 x 20-inch photograph comes matted and framed to the dimensions of 22 x 26-inches. Ali has autographed the piece with a gold metallic paint pen and added the inscription “AKA Cassius Clay 4-26-64” across the image. The signature and inscription are bold, and the frame is in good condition. The item comes with an LOA from Beckett Authentication for the signature.
