One of the most unlikely teams to ever win the Super Bowl, the 20111 New York Giants were just the third NFL team with less than 10 wins (9-7) in a 16-game season to reach the big game and the first of the three to win it, downing the New England Patriots 21-17 in Super Bowl XLVI on February 5, 2012. This spectacular size 14, 92-gram, 14K Gents ring has an extra-large oval top containing raised reliefs of four Lombardi trophies in recognition of the Giants four Super Bowl wins, each containing .25 marquis cut football-shaped diamonds at their tops over a bed of approximately 24 solitaire cut diamonds with a diamond studded New York Giants logo outlined in blue enamel at their base. The ring’s bezel is circled with 37 blue sapphires with the words “New York Giants 2011 Word Champions running around the perimeter in raised relief; the total carat weight of 1.36 in diamonds and 1.11 in sapphires. The player name “Parker” is cut out in high relief on the left shank above a circle containing his uniform number “75” at its center and circled by the words “New York Giants Football.” Another high relief cutout at the bottom of the shank reads: “EST 1925” above the years “1986” and “1990” denoting the team’s first two Super Bowl championships. The opposite shank contains cutout reliefs of the word “Giants” and another Lombardi trophy rising between and “NYG” and “NE” with the game’s final score “21” and “17” beneath each team’s initials and a “Super Bowl” banner above the Roman numeral “XLVI” with an NFL shield logo and the years “2007” and “2011” in recognition of the team’s last two Super Bowl victories. The ring’s interior band is engraved with “©T & Co.” and “AU585” (AU585 is Tiffany’s fancy way of saying the ring is made of 14K white gold) with the words: “All IN” on one side of the band’s interior and “FINISH” on the other. This huge, brand new looking ring is contained in its original cherry wood box and top display window etched with “NY” and “2011 World Champions”. This ring comes with a certificate of appraisal clarifying that the consignor received the ring directly from a pawn shop where Parker defaulted on his loan.
